System requirements for Toolset

This article lists minimum system requirements for the Toolset.

System requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, or Windows 7 SP1
    • Note: For Windows 7 devices, you need to apply the Microsoft 2019-09 Security Update. 
  • Application Framework: .NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher
  • CPU: 1 GHz or faster with SSE2 technology (ARM not supported)
  • RAM: 2 GB (64-bit OS), 1 GB (32-bit OS)
  • Free disk space: 600 MB.
  • Screen resolution: 1024x768 or higher.
  • Network: Active internet connection (required for activation, updates, and crash dump analysis), Network Discovery/SSDP Discovery Service enabled (required for Network Devices Scanner), and Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 enabled (required for updates)

Writable and local storage execution requirement

You must run the Toolset from a writable storage location like a USB flash drive or a folder on the internal disk drive.

While not designed to work from a network path or read-only media, the Toolset will detect this execution method and copy itself to the local temporary directory (%temp%) then relaunch itself.
