Browser Guard protects and enhances your browsing experience by automatically blocking ads and trackers in real time. If you see a website ad that was not blocked, you can block it manually by adding it to the Browser Guard Block list. This feature is available for those with a Desktop Security subscription on Chrome, Edge, and Firefox browsers.
Stop ads by adding them to the Block list
- On a web page, hover over the ad and right-click to display the context menu.
- In the context menu, select Malwarebytes Browser Guard, then click Block this item.
View your blocked items in the Block list
- Click the Malwarebytes icon
in your browser's header.
- Click the Dashboard tab at the bottom of the Browser Guard dashboard. A web page opens in your browser.
- On the left side bar of the web page, click Manual ad removals.
- The website address for the items you blocked display.
Allow ads by deleting items from the Block list
To delete all items from the Block list:
- On the Manual ad removals page, click the menu icon
next to URL / IP address.
- Click Delete all.
- In the confirmation window, click Remove all.
To delete a single item from the Block list:
- On the Manual ad removals page, click the menu icon
next to the website you want to remove from the Block list.
- In the drop down, click Delete.
- In the confirmation window, click Remove.
