Send Malwarebytes for Android and iOS logs to support

Sending diagnostic logs to Malwarebytes support should only be done if you already have an open ticket with Malwarebytes and a support agent asked you for diagnostic logs.

How to send diagnostic data from an Android device

  1. Open a support ticket. You can do this using our chat assistant NEW_chat_button_bubble_question_mark_BLUE_bg.svg located at the bottom right of this page.
  2. After opening a ticket, open the app on your mobile device.
  3. Tap Help > Export diagnostic data. The report automatically generates and a pop-up appears.
  4. In the pop-up, select your device's email app. An email is drafted, which contains the diagnostic log attached.
  5. In the To field, enter the email address provided by your support agent.
  6. Send the generated email.

How to send diagnostic data from an iOS device

First, generate a diagnostic log:

  1. Open the app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap SettingsSettings.svg > General.
  3. Toggle on Enable diagnostic mode.
  4. Repeat the steps that led to the issue. Once the issue occurs, diagnostic mode records the incident.
  5. Return to the Malwarebytes app, tap SettingsSettings.svg > General, then tap Export diagnostic Data.
  6. Send the diagnostic log to Malwarebytes.

Next, send the diagnostic log to Support:

  1. After tapping Export diagnostic data, select Save to Files.
  2. Click Save in the top right corner.
  3. Locate and open your ticket's email from Malwarebytes Support. 
  4. Reply to the email, attaching the file you saved in Step 1.
  5. Toggle off Enable diagnostic mode
