Run a Digital Footprint Scan
Your digital footprint is the trail of data you leave behind when using the internet. Criminals can use your digital footprint to try to steal your information, so it's important to know if your data is exposed online. To run a Digital Footprint scan from your Mobile Security app:
- Open the Mobile Security app.
- On the main dashboard, tap Scan next to Digital Footprint.
- Review the instructions on the Digital Footprint details page, then tap Scan my digital footprint.
- Enter your email address, then tap Scan now.
- Verify your email address. Enter the code sent to your email and the scan will start automatically.
- Your Digital footprint results appear when the scan finishes.
Digital Footprint results
The Digital Footprint report shows you if personal information linked to your email address has been exposed. This personal information may include your social media or other accounts, passwords for these accounts, Social Security Number (SSN), other government ID information, and more.
The report will also show which data breaches may have leaked your information. Click Protect My Identity to be taken to a new webpage where you can learn how to protect your identity.
