Your digital footprint is the trail of data you leave behind when using the internet. Criminals can use your digital footprint to try to steal your information, so it's important to know if your data is exposed online. You can easily run a Digital Footprint scan from your Desktop Security app and get a report on any exposed information. For details on how our Digital Footprint scan works, see What is the Digital Footprint Scan?

Digital Footprint results
The Digital Footprint report shows you if personal information linked to your email address has been exposed. This personal information may include your social media or other accounts, passwords for these accounts, social security number (SSN), other government ID information, and more.
The report will also show which data breaches may have leaked your information. From the results page, click Protect My Identity (macOS) or Take action (Windows) to be taken to a new webpage with advice on safeguarding your personal information or learning how to protect your identity.
