View and download scan reports in Desktop Security

When Desktop Security runs a scan on your device, the event is logged and a report is created. Scan reports list information including the scan type, detections, and date and time of the scan executed. Reports are stored up to the last 30 days and can be deleted to clear up space. On Windows devices, you can also copy the report to your Clipboard or download a Text file (.txt) of your report.

View and download scan reports

Scan reports contain all of the information on your executed scans, including the scan type, detections, and date and time of the scan.

To view and download your scan reports on Windows

1. Open the app.
2. Click the Scanner card.
3. Click the Reports tab.
4. At the top-right of the Scan reports, you can Hide reports with no detections by checking the box.
5. Hover your cursor over the report you want to view and click the eye icon.
6. A Summary window displays the scan results and the date and time executed. For more details, click the Advanced tab in this window.
7. If you want to download the full report, click Export, and click either Copy to clipboard or Export to TXT.

You can sort the Reports list by Type or Date by clicking on the column headers.

To view your scan reports on macOS

1. Open the app.
2. Click the Scanner card.
3. Click the Reports tab.
4. Click on the report you want to view, then click View.
5. A Summary window displays the scan results and the date and time executed.

Delete scan reports

Scan reports are automatically deleted from the app after 30 days. However, you can delete reports at any time for privacy purposes or to clean up stored data.

To delete scan reports on Windows

1. Open the app.
2. Click the Scanner card.
3. Click the Reports tab.
4. Hover your cursor over the report you want to delete and click the trash icon.
5. In the Delete report item pop-up window, click Delete.

If you want to delete all reports at once, click the ellipses iconin the Reports tab. Then click Delete all. To confirm, click Delete in the pop-up window.

To delete scan reports on macOS

1. Open the app.
2. Click the Scanner card.
3. Click the Reports tab.
4. Click on the report you want to delete, then click Delete.

If you want to delete all reports at once, click Delete all. To confirm, click Delete all again in the pop-up window.
