The Malwarebytes icon is located in the menu bar at the top of the screen on macOS devices. This icon can show you the status of Malwarebytes and VPN at a glance depending on how it looks. Use the table below to learn more about what each Malwarebytes icon means.

Icon	Status	Description
	Default	The default icon shows when there are no alerts, and the VPN is not connected.
	Alert	The red dot shows when you have one or more security alerts. You may get a security alert if: You have never run a scan. A scan detected threats. One or more Real-Time Protection layers are turned off. Your internet access is blocked by the Kill switch setting.
	VPN connected	The VPN icon shows when the VPN is connected, and there are no alerts.
