Add websites to the Allow list in Browser Guard

Browser Guard's ad blocker feature protects you from malicious popup ads and from websites that we think are untrustworthy. Some websites restrict your access while using Browser Guard. You can add these and other trusted websites to the Allow list to stop Browser Guard from blocking ads on these sites. Only allow a website if you are sure it is safe.

Chrome, Edge, and Firefox browsers

Add a website to Browser Guard's Allow list

You can add a website to the Allow list by following the steps below:

1. Click the Malwarebytes icon in your browser's header.
2. Click the Dashboard tab at the bottom of the Browser Guard dashboard. A web page opens in your browser.
3. On the left side bar of the web page, click Allow list.
4. On the Allow list page, click + Add website.
5. A pop up appears. Enter the website's URL or IP address in the Enter a URL or IP address field. For example, https://www.malwarebytes.com/.
6. Under Choose which protections to turn off, select the protection features you want to turn off for this site.
7. Click Add to list. Depending on your selections, Browser Guard will no longer block ads or threats on this site.

Note: If you are using additional ad blockers, they may interfere with Browser Guard's Allow list. Turn off other ad blocker apps or extensions before adding trusted sites to the Allow list.

Remove a website from Browser Guard's Allow list

You can remove an item from the Allow list by following the steps below.

1. Click the Malwarebytes icon in your browser's header.
2. Click the Dashboard tab at the bottom of the Browser Guard dashboard. A web page opens in your browser.
3. On the left side bar of the web page, click Allow list.
4. Click the menu iconnext to the website you want to remove from the Allow list.
5. Click Delete.
6. In the confirmation window, click Remove.

Safari Browsers

Add a website to Browser Guard's Allow list

You can add a website to the Allow list by following the steps below:

1. On Safari browsers, click the Browser Guard icon in your browser's toolbar.
2. Click the Allow list tab.
3. On the Allow list tab, click the +Add a website button.
4. Enter the website's URL or IP address in the Add a URL or IP address field. For example, https://www.malwarebytes.com/.
5. Under Choose protections to disable, click Ad / Trackers and other protection features you wish to turn off for this site.
6. Click Add to list. Browser Guard will no longer block ads from this site.

Remove a website from Browser Guard's Allow list

You can remove an item from the Allow list by following the steps below.

1. Click the menu iconnext to the website you want to remove from the Allow list.
2. Click Delete website.
3. In the confirmation window, click Yes, delete.
