You can share your subscription with family and friends depending on the subscription type and protection features. Your Malwarebytes account shows how many activations are included with your plan and how many are still available.
To share your subscription, you need an account. If you do not have an account, see Create your Malwarebytes Account to get started.
Send an email invitation to share a subscription
Follow these steps to send an email invitation to a friend or family member so they can share in your subscription.
- Sign in to your account.
- In the left side bar, click Manage Subscription
.
- Next to the subscription you want to share, click on the three dots
.
- In the drop down, click Share with others.
- In the new window, click Send Invitation or Invite someone new.
- Under Invite via email or link, click Send invite.
- In the recipient's email address field, enter the email you want to share to.
- Select which subscriptions you want to share by clicking on the boxes.
- If you select Identity Protection, check the box to confirm the recipient is 18 years of age or older and able to receive identity protection services.
- Click Next.
- On the personal message page, add your name and whatever details you'd like to share with the recipient.
- When you are finished writing the message, click Send email.
- An invitation email is sent to the recipient. Click Done to finish.

How to update an email invitation
If you already shared an email invitation to your subscription with family or friends, you can update your invitation to include additional protection services.
- Sign in to your account.
- In the left side bar, click Manage Subscription

- Next to the subscription you want to share, click on the three dots
.
- In the drop down, click Share with others.
- Next to your invitation, click on the three dots
.
- Click Update Invitation.
- Select which protection features you want to add by clicking on the boxes.
- If you select Identity Protection, check the box to confirm the recipient is 18 years of age or older and able to receive identity protection services.
- Click Update Invitation.
- Your shared subscription is updated. Click Done to finish.
Resend an email invitation to share your subscription
Follow these steps to resend an email invitation to a friend or family member if they have lost or deleted their email invite.
- Sign in to your account.
- In the left side bar, click Manage Subscription
.
- Next to the subscription you shared, click on the three dots
.
- Click Share with others.
- Next to your invitation, click on the three dots
.
- Click Resend Invitation.
How to un-share an email invitation
Follow these steps if you want to un-share an invitation you sent. This will revoke the invitation and the recipient will no longer be able to activate your subscription.
- Sign in to your account.
- In the left side bar, click Manage Subscription
.
- Next to the subscription you shared, click on the three dots
.
- Click Share with others.
- Next to your pending invitation, click on the three dots
.
- Click Delete Invitation.
- Click Delete to confirm your choice.
How to cancel a shared subscription
Follow these steps if you want to cancel a shared subscription to a friend of family member. Once an invitation is canceled, your friend or family member will no longer have access to your subscription or be protected on their device.
- Sign in to your account.
- In the left side bar, click Manage Subscription
.
- Next to the subscription you shared, click on the three dots
.
- Click Share with others.
- Next to your accepted invitation, click on the three dots
.
- Click Cancel Invitation.
- Click Delete to confirm your choice.
