Features and improvements
- Introduced a more streamlined process for activating your subscription through signing in to your Malwarebytes account.
- Improved Web protection feature:
- Added a See activation instructions link under Web Protection in the Real-Time Protection card that links to our help center article for more detailed instructions on activating Web protection.
- Added a Process column in the Web protection tab under Detection history for more detailed information on blocked processes as a result of accessing a malicious domain or IP address.
- Clicking on Learn more in Web protection block notifications now redirects you to the Web protection tab within the app.
- Added two Trusted Advisor recommendations:
- A reminder for Identity Theft Protection customers to activate their subscription.
- A prompt encouraging new users to run a free Digital Footprint Scan from the app.
- Improved the notifications tab so users can clear all notifications and open notifications settings directly from the notifications tab.
Issues fixed
- Fixed an issue where Web protection would sometimes block internet access when enabled.
- Fixed an issue where the Connection rules blocking badge link on the VPN page led users to General settings instead of VPN settings page.
- Fixed animation glitches when opening notifications and navigating between Menu and Notifications tab in the status menu dashboard.
- Fixed an issue where the red dot next to the Malwarebytes icon would appear even with no active notifications.
- IP addresses and domains can now be copy-pasted directly from Web protection block notifications.
- Added missing localizations.
- Miscellaneous UI bug fixes and UI improvements.
