Turn on VPN in Mobile Security

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) keeps your personal information private by encrypting your traffic as you browse the internet. It can also hide your location, making it seem like you are in a different country or region. Using a VPN helps prevent threats from figuring out who you are, where you are, and what you’re browsing.

To turn on the VPN feature, you'll need a subscription that includes VPN. You can upgrade your subscription from the Mobile Security app or your Malwarebytes account.

Enable VPN on an Android device

1. Open the Mobile Security app.
2. Scroll down to the VPN section, then toggle VPN ON.
3. In the Connection request pop up, tap OK.
4. You've successfully connected when you see Your connection is Private.

Enable VPN on an iOS device

1. Open the Mobile Security app.
2. Scroll down to the VPN section, then tap Activate.
3. On the Install VPN Configuration screen, tap Get started.
4. In the pop up, tap Allow.
5. Enter your iPhone passcode to allow Mobile Security to add VPN Configurations.
6. In the app, toggle VPN ON.
7. You've successfully connected when you see Your connection is private.
