Run a Free Monthly Scan on Windows

Desktop Security for Windows offers free users the option to run monthly scans to keep their devices safe, even without a paid subscription. These scans check for malware, viruses, and other threats, quarantining anything harmful and providing you with a detailed report. If you want to schedule scans to run automatically or want access to various types of scans, consider purchasing a subscription with Malwarebytes.

To turn on Free Monthly Scans:

1. Open the app.
2. Click on the Scanner card on the main dashboard.
3. Click the Scan Scheduler tab.
4. In the A full scan once a month - on us! pop up, click Sounds good.
   Note: If you click No thanks and change your mind later, simply click Enable free monthly scan in the Scan Scheduler tab.
5. Your Free Monthly Scan is scheduled.

If you want to turn off your Free Monthly Scan, hover over the scan and click on the trash icon. You can turn your Free Monthly Scan back on at any time.
