When Desktop Security for Windows blocks a website or a Real-Time Protection (RTP) detection happens, the event is logged and a report is created. Reports are stored up to the last 30 days. Desktop Security lets you view the reports in the app, download a Text file (.txt) of your report, or delete them to clear up space.
View and download detection history reports
The History tab lists Real-Time Protection and scan detections. Anytime Real-Time Protection blocks malicious sites or software, a report is generated on this screen.
To view and download your detection history reports:
- Open the app.
- Click the Detection History card.
- Click the History tab.
- Hover over the report you want to view and click the ellipses icon

- In the drop-down menu, click View report or click Export to TXT if you want to download the full report.
- Click Save to download your report.
Delete detection history reports
Detection history reports are automatically deleted from the app after 30 days. However, you can delete reports at any time for privacy purposes or to clean up stored data.
To delete detection history reports:
- Open the app.
- Click the Detection History card.
- Click the History tab.
- Hover your cursor over the report you want to delete and click the trash icon
.
- In the Delete report item pop-up window, click Delete.
If you want to delete all reports at once, click the ellipses iconin the History tab. Then click Delete all. To confirm, click Delete in the pop-up window.
