Malwarebytes Browser Guard lets you gather diagnostic logs to help troubleshoot threat detections, ads/trackers, scams, or website blocks. Read this article to learn how to download your Browser Guard logs and share them with Malwarebytes Support.
Download debug logs with Browser Guard
Chrome, Edge, and Firefox browsers
To download your Browser Guard logs:
- Click the Malwarebytes icon
in your browser's header.
- Click the three vertical dots
at the top right of the Browser Guard dashboard.
- In the dropdown, click Support.
- In the Support window, click Download debug logs.
- Your logs begin downloading automatically as a text (.txt) file into your preferred download folder (usually Downloads).
- Note: The text file should look like BG-Logs_xxxx.txt
Safari browser
To download your Browser Guard logs:
- Click the Malwarebytes icon
in your browser's header.
- Click the three vertical dots
at the top right of the Browser Guard dashboard.
- In the dropdown, click Support.
- In the Support window, click Download Debug Logs.
- Your logs open in a browser window. On your device's menu bar, click File.
- In the dropdown, click Save As...
- Choose a name and save location for your text file, then click Save.
Share your logs with Support
After you've downloaded your Browser Guard logs, share them with Support:
- Contact Support to create a ticket or chat with a live agent.
- Follow the instructions provided by the agent to upload your logs.
