Sign out of your Malwarebytes account on Windows and Mac

When you install Malwarebytes on your Windows or Mac device, you have the option to sign in to your Malwarebytes account. If you have a subscription and a Malwarebytes account, you can activate your protection on your Windows device by simply signing in to your account. 

Once you've signed in and activated, the My subscription page in the Malwarebytes app shows your signed in status and your subscription details. You can sign out of your account at any time without losing your protection.

To sign out of your account from the app:

1. Open the app.
2. Click the person icon on the app's main dashboard. On Mac, click My subscription in the drop down that appears.
3. On the My subscription page, click the three dotsnext to your name and email.
4. Click Sign out. 
5. On the Before you sign out screen, choose one of the following options:
   • Click Keep subscription active to continue protecting this device with the features included in your Malwarebytes subscription, such as Real-Time Protection and VPN.
   • Click Deactivate subscription if you want to stop using Malwarebytes' protection features on this device.
