YouTube is a video-sharing social media platform that is quite strict about using ad blockers when browsing their site. Malwarebytes' Browser Guard extension for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox browsers is capable of blocking YouTube ads for a more seamless experience. However, YouTube may not allow you to watch a video if Browser Guard's ad blocking capabilities are turned on.
Allow ads on YouTube
Luckily, you do not have to uninstall Browser Guard to keep watching YouTube videos. To allow YouTube to play ads, simply turn off ad blocking for that page using the steps below:
- While on a YouTube video page, click the Malwarebytes icon
in your browser's header.
- In the Browser Guard dashboard, click the Ads/Tracker toggle to turn ad blocking off.
Block ads on YouTube
If you want to block ads while watching videos, turn the Ads/Tracker setting on. Note that YouTube may catch that you are using an ad blocker and ask you to turn it off.
- While on a YouTube video page, click the Malwarebytes icon
