Activate your subscription for Mobile Security

The Mobile Security app protects your device using multiple security features. While the free version allows you to scan your device for any threats, certain features require a paid subscription to enable them. 

How you activate your paid subscription depends on whether you are using an Android or an iOS operating system and where you purchased your subscription. Check out the table below to see which method of activation is best for you:

Activate your subscription with your account login

You can activate your subscription by using your Malwarebytes account login credentials. Use this method if you purchased a Security subscription from the Malwarebytes Online Store.

1. Open the Malwarebytes Mobile Security app.
2. Tap Settings > My Subscriptions from the app's Dashboard.
3. Tap I have a subscription or Already have a Subscription.
4. Tap Sign in.
5. In the new screen, enter your Malwarebytes account email and password. 
   Note: On iOS devices, click Continue in the pop-up before entering your Malwarebytes account email and password.
6. Once you are finished entering your account credentials, tap Sign in.
7. Once activation is complete, the My Subscriptions screen displays your subscription type and expiration.

Activate an app store purchase

Activate your subscription by restoring an app store purchase. Use this method if you purchased or upgraded your subscription through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Install Mobile Security on your device first to activate a subscription in the app.

1. Open the Malwarebytes Mobile Security app.
2. Tap Settings > My Subscriptions from the app's Dashboard.
3. Tap I have a subscription or Already have a Subscription.
4. Tap Restore Google Play purchase or Restore App Store purchase.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your purchase.
6. Once activation is complete, the My Subscriptions screen displays your subscription type and expiration.

Other ways to activate your subscription

You can also activate your subscription with an MB code generated from your Malwarebytes account or the Mobile Security app on your iOS or Android device. To learn more about generating an MB code and activating your subscription, see Activate your subscription with an MB Code.

If you are activating on an Android device and you have a license key or license key and ID, create your Malwarebytes account and link your license key to your account. Then, activate your subscription by signing in to your account as described in the top section of this article.
