Activate your subscription with an MB Code

Generate an MB code to share your subscription with another device, like a family member's phone or laptop. After you generate a code, input that code in the app on the other device to activate it. To generate an MB code, all you need is an account and available devices in your subscription. Before you generate your MB code, make sure to have the Malwarebytes app already installed on the device.

Generate MB Code via your account

If you don't have the Mobile Security app already installed, you can generate an MB Code via your Malwarebytes account:

1. Click here to go to your account.
2. Click Share with another device or person.
3. Click Send Invitation.
4. Under Use a quick access code, click Create code.
5. Select the type of device you would like to activate.
6. If you still need to install the app, copy and share the download link to your other device.
7. Click Generate MB Code.
   • Codes are valid for 90 seconds and can only be used once. If your code expires, tap Generate new code.

Generate MB Code via Mobile Security app

If you already have the Mobile Security app, you can generate an MB Code straight from your iOS or Android device:

1. On your activated device, open the Malwarebytes Mobile Security app.
2. Tap Settings > My Subscriptions from the app's Dashboard.

3. Under Activate a new device, tap Generate MB code.

   TIP - Codes are valid for 90 seconds, and can only be used once. If your code expires, tap Generate new code.

Activate subscription on new device with MB Code

1. Open the app on your other device.
2. Follow the steps based on your device:
   • On iOS devices:
     1. Tap Settings > My Subscriptions, then tap Already have a Subscription.
     2. Tap I have an MB code.
   • On Android devices:
     1. Tap Settings > My Subscriptions, then tap Sign in.
     2. Tap I have license key or MB code.
   • On Windows devices: 
     1. Click Activate subscription.
     2. Click Activate with license key or MB code.
   • On macOS devices:
     1. Click Activate subscription.
     2. Click Enter license key or MB code.
3. In the MB code field, enter the code generated. Make sure to enter capital letters and numbers correctly.
4. Tap Activate.
5. Once activation is complete, the My Subscriptions screen displays your subscription type and expiration date.
