The Mobile Security app protects your device using multiple security features. While the free version allows you to scan your device for any threats, certain features require a paid subscription to enable them.
How you activate your paid subscription depends on whether you are using an Android or an iOS operating system and where you purchased your subscription. Check out the table below to see which method of activation is best for you:

Activate your subscription with your account login
You can activate your subscription by using your Malwarebytes account login credentials. Use this method if you purchased a Security subscription from the Malwarebytes Online Store.
- Open the Malwarebytes Mobile Security app.
- Tap Settings
> My Subscriptions from the app's Dashboard.
- Tap I have a subscription or Already have a Subscription.
- Tap Sign in.
- In the new screen, enter your Malwarebytes account email and password.
Note: On iOS devices, click Continue in the pop-up before entering your Malwarebytes account email and password. - Once you are finished entering your account credentials, tap Sign in.
- Once activation is complete, the My Subscriptions screen displays your subscription type and expiration.
Activate an app store purchase
Activate your subscription by restoring an app store purchase. Use this method if you purchased or upgraded your subscription through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Install Mobile Security on your device first to activate a subscription in the app.
- Open the Malwarebytes Mobile Security app.
- Tap Settings
> My Subscriptions from the app's Dashboard.
- Tap I have a subscription or Already have a Subscription.
- Tap Restore Google Play purchase or Restore App Store purchase.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your purchase.
- Once activation is complete, the My Subscriptions screen displays your subscription type and expiration.

Activate your subscription with MB code
Generate a code to activate the app on additional mobile devices. To generate a code, activate the initial mobile device by signing in to your account. Use this method if you already use Mobile Security on a mobile device and have a multiple-seat subscription.
- On your activated device, open the Malwarebytes Mobile Security app.
- Tap Settings
> My Subscriptions from the app's Dashboard.
- Under Activate a new device, tap Generate MB code.
Note: Codes are valid for 90 seconds, and can only be used once. If your code expires, tap Generate new code. - On your additional mobile device, open the Malwarebytes Mobile Security app.
- Tap Settings
> My Subscriptions from the app's Dashboard.
- Tap I have a subscription or Already have a subscription.
- Tap I have license key or MB code or I have MB code.
- In the code field, enter the code generated. Make sure to include "MB-" and to enter the capital letters and numbers correctly.
- Tap Activate.
- Once activation is complete, the My Subscriptions screen displays your subscription type and expiration date.
Activate your subscription with a license key
Available in: Android
This method is only available on Android devices. Use your license key to activate your subscription. If you can't find it, learn how to locate your license key.
- Open the Malwarebytes Mobile Security app on your device.
- Tap Settings
> My Subscriptions from the app's Dashboard.
- Tap I have a subscription.
- Tap I have license key or MB code.
- Enter your license key in the field.
- Tap Activate.
- Once activation is complete, the My Subscriptions screen displays your subscription type and expiration.
