Manage Profile Checker scan results in Online Account Protection

After running a Profile Checker scan using Browser Guard’s Online Account Protection feature, you can review your profile scan summary and security recommendations. We encourage you to review these recommendations and take action to reduce your online risk and improve your overall safety. This article explains the profile scan summary statuses and how to resolve, rescan, or skip recommendations.

Profile scan summary statuses

After you scan your account, the profile scan summary tells you if your account's security level is Vulnerable, Fair, or Good. 

• Vulnerable: Your profile has many vulnerabilities. Review the check list of recommendations and take action to resolve them and boost your security. 
• Fair: Your profile has basic protections in place, but there are still some vulnerabilities. Review the check list of recommendations and take action to resolve them and boost your security. 
• Good: Your profile is well protected. There are no actions to take.

To refresh your profile summary score after updating your profile or account, click Rescan profile.

Resolve your checklist recommendations

Once you've finished running a Profile Checker scan, you can see a checklist of security recommendations for your account. To resolve a recommendation:

1. Click on the recommendation.
2. A dropdown with information about the security risk displays. Follow the instructions to secure your account.
3. When finished, click Mark as done. In some cases, resolving a recommendation will automatically mark it as completed, without requiring you to do so manually.

Skip a recommendation

You can skip a recommendation to ignore it or come back to it later. Skipped recommendations do not lower your vulnerability score and will show up again if you rescan the recommendation.

To skip a recommendation:

1. Click on the recommendation.
2. In the dropdown, click Skip.

Once a recommendation has been skipped, they can be found in the Skipped section in your recommendations checklist. Click on a recommendation, then click Bring this back to later rescan or mark as done.
